“Today corona virus is a real challenge.” Virus corona menjadi tantangan yang sangat nyata di seluruh dunia, sebab virus yang tidak kasat mata ini telah mengubah tatanan dunia baru. Manusia yang dulunya hidup dan bekerja dari luar rumah kemudian beralih ke kehidupan dalam rumah atau istilahnya working from home.
Working from home menjadi trending di awal kemunculan virus ini, bahkan sampai saat ini. Namun, dewasa ini ada yang sedikit berubah karena manusia sudah bosan dan jenuh tinggal di rumah. Banyak orang yang kemudian memilih hidup berdampingan dengan korona dengan catatan tetap produktif dan aman dari Covid-19.
Manusia dengan segala daya nalarnya telah lama melakukan adaptasi, mulai dari zaman batu hingga zaman virtual sekarang ini. Tantangan terbesar saat ini yang dihadapi dunia salah satunya virus korona.
Dari aspek sosial, kini manusia dibatasi untuk saling bertatap muka. Manusia dengan cepat beradaptasi mengubahnya menjadi sentuhan virtual. Dari aspek ekonomi, banyak yang mengalami depreciation (penyusutan) pelanggan, mulai dari perusahaan sampai warung dan toko. Manusia cepat beradaptasi mengubahnya kepada sistem pemesanan dan jasa online.
Dari aspek kesehatan, covid-19 memberikan dampak besar, manusia kemudian beradaptasi dengan terus mengupayakan penemuan vaksin. Kendati demikian, manusia menemukan fakta bahwa antivirus itu adalah imun yang diproduksi manusia sendiri. Oleh karena itu, memperkuat imun menjadi hal terpenting dalam mengalahkan virus ini.
Dari aspek pendidikan manusia mengalami kemandekan dalam melakukan pembelajaran langsung atau tatap muka, manusia cepat beradaptasi mengubah sistem pembelajaran kepada sistem pembelajaran daring (online) dengan memanfaatkan fasilitas teknologi virtual seperti zoom dan google meet.
“Courage is the best power,” keberanian menjadi kekuatan terbaik dalam menghadapi ketidakpastian kapan virus ini akan berakhir. Menurut R.A Kartini dalam bukunya Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang mengatakan “Meski kamu menertawakan saya (saya tahu kamu tidak akan melakukannya) saya tidak akan melepaskan impian itu. Hal itu memang pekerjaan yang dapat membuat orang putus asa, tetapi ‘Yang tidak berani yang tidak benang’ adalah semboyan saya! Maju terus! Menerjang tanpa gentar dan berani menangani semuanya! Orang-orang yang berani, menguasai tiga perempat dunia. (R.A Kartini, Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang, halaman 19).
Mereka yang menang adalah mereka yang memiliki perhitungan yang matang, mereka cepat beradaptasi dan menemukan solusi, serta mereka yang mampu melakukan sinergi yang apik. Keberanian menghadapi Covid-19 bukan maju tanpa perhitungan, tetapi punya kekuatan literasi. Mereka yang kaya literasi, akan mampu bertahan dan tidak rentan terinveksi virus ini. Sementara mereka yang miskin literasi akan sebaliknya.
Namun, kekuatan literasi tidak memiliki arti sama sekali jika tidak ditopang oleh kesadaran untuk berdisiplin dan konsisten dalam menerapkan berbagai protokol kesehatan. ketidaksadaran bisa ditandai dengan sifat meremehkan virus ini, padahal virus ini telah memakan banyak korban hampir di seluruh negara.
Terkadang masalah silih berganti bukan karena Tuhan membenci kita, melainkan Tuhan ingin mengajari kita tentang arti sebuah kehidupan, kemudian bagaimana bisa menjalaninya dengan penuh arti sesuai dengan petunjuk-Nya. (Khalil El Rachman, Novel Tarbiyah Tuhan, hlm. 46-47).
Positif thinking juga bisa menjadi solusi, tidak usah berprasangka buruk kepada Tuhan, seolah-olah Tuhan sedang menghukum manusia. Tuhan tengah mengajari manusia dan membawa manusia dari kebiasaan buruk menuju kebiasaan baik. Bahkan dari kebiasaan yang baik menuju kebiasaan yang lebih baik. Setidaknya di masa Covid-19 ini banyak hal yang telah kita lakukan. Covid-19 bukanlah sebuah penghalang untuk melangkah maju, karena ada mimpi yang harus dituntaskan dan ada cita dan cinta yang harus dikejar.
Prof Qasim Mathar seorang cendikiawan yang juga merupakan sosok yang saya kagumi di Pesantren Matahari tempat saya membina santri mengungkapkan bahwa “New normal bukan lusa, ya, bukan lusa. Tapi besok. Bahkan hari ini dan kemarin, New normal sudah dilakoni. New normal adalah mengambil dan meneruskan pengalaman hidup dari kondisi Covid-19 untuk dibawa kepada kehidupan besok, dengan senantiasa berpedoman kepada ilmu pengetahuan. Ya, besok, bukan lusa.”
Belajar dari sejarah, manusia selalu berevolusi dengan segala daya pikirnya begitu pun virus juga selalu melakukan evolusi. Manusia dan virus dari waktu ke waktu telah lama saling serang dan mempertahankan diri. Perang abadi yang hanya akan berakhir pada saat hancurnya bumi dan isinya.
“Change!” berubah menjadi hal terpenting dalam beradaptasi dengan covid-19 ini. Dalam hal apa-pun ketika sudah tidak relevan lagi maka dibutuhkan perubahan. Virus ini telah melumpuhkan seluruh sektor yang ada. Maka dibutuhkan perubahan pada seluruh sektor yang ada, dengan mengganti hal-hal yang tidak sesuai lagi untuk dijalankan dan tetap mengambil dan mempertahankan hal-hal yang dianggap masih sangat baik dan relevan, artinya selalu mengupayakan berbuat yang terbaik.
