Hari Pers Nasional (HPN) jatuh dan diperingati setiap tanggal 9 Februari 2023. Tema tahun ini, “Pers Merdeka, Demokrasi Bermanfaat”. Penulis tak ingin kupas tentang temanya, namun karekter profesi jurnalis yang ingin disorot. Sabab tentu kita telah mengetahui bahwa harus ada harapan hidup ketika setelah ditimpa ujian, seperti wabah Covid-19 selama 2 tahun lebih.
Ada ungkapan, “menulislah seperti jurnalis dan berpidatolah seperti seorang orator.” Menarik dibahas kalimat motivasi ini. Sebab jika direnungkan maknanya sangat dalam. Meski kalimatnya singkat.
Fokus dua kata yakni ‘menulis dan jurnalis’. Pekerjan ini meleket pada pada profesi wartawan. Sebab tidak dapat disebut ia wartawan jika tak mampu merangkai kata menjadi suatu bacaan yang menarik yang berisi informasi. Dua kata di atas ibarat tangan kanan dan kiri, roda depan dan roda belakang. Dan kalimat maju dan mundur. Ia selalu duet. Yakni menulis dan Jurnalis.
Menjadi sosok jurnalis yang pandai menulis, tidak instan diraih. Akan tetapi diperlukan latihan menulis yang serius dan berulang-ulang yang terutama juga senang membaca. Sebab, “penulis yang baik, adalah juga pembaca tulisan yang baik.”
Kisah ini sekedar penulis ingin berbagi pengalaman. Yakni tantangan saat seringnya menulis dan menyeberkannya di medsos. Ada yang penulis tanggapi, ada yang dibantah lewat tulisan selanjutnya. Dari kritik pembaca. Dengan seringnya menulis, lalu ada juga beberapa media online resmi yang sering memuat tulisan penulis.
Ketika awal-awal menulis dengan menjadikan media daring sebagai panggung. Atau wadah menyebar tulisan. Pada tahun 2016, penulis sering mendapat kritik tajam, ada yang berucap, “jangan terlalu menonjolkan diri, tidak bagus.” tulis kritik seorang waktu itu. Ada juga yang mengeluarkan di grup whatapp.
Berbagai perlakuan yang tak enak penulis sudah alami. Namun tidak sedikit yang mensuport. Dari dua hal tersebut, penulis jadikan sayap untuk terus memperbaiki tulisan dengan belajar cara menulisnya para jurnalis. Terutama penulis sangat suka membaca tulisan wartawan senior yang pernah hampir dikriminalisasi, namun lolos yakni mantan menteri Dahlan Iskan.
Membaca, lalu mengamati cara menulis seorang jurnalis kemudian menirunya adalah salah metode untuk menarik dibaca kita punya tulisan oleh para pembaca. Pada hari Kamis, 4 Februari 2021 ada seseorang yang menelpon penulis. Mengaku bernama Prof. Maidin dari Unhas. Dari suaranya sepertinya tak asing bagi penulis.
Mantan Dekan Fakutas Kesehatan Masyarakat Unhas tersebut, minta penulis untuk membahas tenang bahaya rokok di masa pendemi ini. “Coba bayangkan ada 7 miliar uang setiap hari dibakar karena rokok” ucapnya penuh prihatin. Lalu beliau mengatakan, “Anda ini adindaku, pandai merangkai kata, terus terang itu kelemahan saya. Apa lagi usia saya saat ini 3 tahun lagi pensiun sebab sudah 67 tahun.” ucapnya penuh motivasi untuk membantu ranah dakwah beliau yakni bahanya rokok. Insya Allah, pada kajian lain dan tersendiri penulis akan kupas hal yang beliau minta, apa lagi penulis pernah jadi korban rokok berpuluh tahun lamanya.
Ini kisah terhadap kesan seorang professor, pembaca Kajian Da’i Kamtibmas yang kemudian penulis tambah alamat identitas Penyuluh Agama Islam Non PNS. Sebab ada yang pernah mengkritik, bahwa hanya membesarkan kepolisian sementara dapat honor atau digaji di Kementerian Agama. Lalu penulis sanggah, bahwa Da’i Kamtibmas bentukan Polri dan Kementerian Agama. Waktu tahun 2014 Polda dan Kanwil Agama Sulsel Mou mengadakan diklat tersebut. Kedua institusi ini sama-sama bernaung di NKRI, dan bahwasanya kita bekerja untuk membangun NKRI. Jangan dikotomis saat bekerja pada NKRI.
Lain lagi kesan dari sosok Ketua Baznas Sulsel Dr. dr. H. Hidri Alwi ketika penulis bertemu di kantornya. Berucap apresiasi dan sangat mensuport agar terus menulis. Ada satu tulisan penulis ia sangat suka yaitu berjudul, ‘Menambang Angin di Jennepoto”. Satu narasi yang mengungkap tentang manfaat pembangkit listrik tenaga bayu/angin. Penulis rutin di harian Fajar tersebut, menyukai runut alur narasinya.
Ciri atau identitas tulisan sangat penting. Sebab pembaca, terutama dari kalangan intelektual senang akan membacanya jika mengetahui pemilik suatu tulisan. Itulan sebabnya lalu penulis tambah identitas DANI (Da’i Anti Narkotika) dan DASI (Da’i Siber Indonesia). Apa lagi telah menjadi judul disertasi penulis di UIN Alauddin Makassar yakni “Strategi Da’i Siber Indonesia POLRI dalam Mewujudkan Keamanan dan Ketertiban Masyarakat di Kabupaten Maros.”
Jika seorang memiliki kemampuan untuk mengolah dan merangkai kata. Apa lagi juga berperan selaku muballigh maka nasehat dalam bentuk tulisan dapat juga dilakukan dengan tujuan mencerahkan, mengedukasi, dan memotivasi pembaca. Tulisalah hal yang menarik, dan yang baik-baik saja. Menulislah untuk dakwah.
Jika seorang jurnalis berkarakter dan bernaluri seperti burung Hudhud. Sesok hewan yang memberitakan penyimpangan Ratu Bulqis pada Nabi Sulaiman as. Lalu dengan berita tersebut terinspirasi Nabi Sulaiman untuk mengirimkan tulisan surat. Dari tulisan itulah Ratu Bulqis taat kepada tunduk kepada Allah dan taat kepada Nabi Sulaiman.
