Dan ternyata di antara dua ormas tersebut ada ormas Islam yang lahir, sehingga ia dapat dikatakan adik bagi Muhammadiyah dan kakak bagi NU dari perspektif umur. Sebab lahir pada tahun 1916 dengan nama Mathla’ul Anwar disingkat MA. Ibu kandungnya waktu itu bernama Nusantara atau Hindia Belanda.

Muhammadiyah dilahirkan di Jogjakarta pada 18 November 1912. Nahdlatul Ulama di Kota Surabaya pada 31 Januari 1926. Sementara Mathla’ul Anwar di Kota Menes Pandeglan Banten 10 Juli 1916 oleh KH. Mas Abdurrahman. Ormas yang konsen pada gerakan pendidikan, dakwah dan kegiatan sosial. Saat ini telah memiliki ribuan lembaga pendidikan, dan beberapa perguruan tinggi, serta klinik kesehatan.

Kini diiusianya lebih satu abad, tapatnya 107 tahun Mathla’ul Anwar resmi hadir di Sulawesi Selatan. Tepatnya pada Ahad, 8 Januari 2023 bertempat di Hotel Dalton Makassar pengurus wilayah Mathla’ul Anwar Sulsel dilantik oleh Pengurus Besar Mathla’ul Anwar yang hadir yaitu Sekjen Dr. Jihaduddin, M.Pd., dan wakil ketua satu H. Adi Abdullah Marta, S.E.

Disaksikan oleh yang mewakili Gubernur Sulsel yaitu Kepala Biro Kesra Andi Iqbal Najamudin, S.E., juga mewakili Pangdam XIV Hasanuddin dan mewakili dari Polda Sulsel. Juga muslimah Mathla’ul Anwar wilayah Sulsel dilantik oleh pengurus besar Muslimah Mathla’ul Anwar.

Asbab Mathla’ul Anwar Hadir di Sulsel

Nama Ormas Islam Mathla’ul Anwar telah lama menjadi perbincangkan untuk hadir di Sulsel. Tokoh-tokoh yang jadi mediator penghubung yaitu Mantan Gubernur Sulsel yaitu Mayjen (Purn) Amin Syam, kemudian Prof. Dr. Umar Shihab, MA yang pernah menjabat sebagai Rektor di Universitas Mathla’ul Anwar. Lalu Prof. Dr. H.M Ghalib, MA asisetennya. Hal ini disampaikan oleh ketua satu Mathla’ul Anwar Sulsel Ust Oman Sudirman, Lc.

Kemudian pada priode tahun 2022-2027 keluar Surat Keputusan dari Pengurus Besar Mathla’ul Anwar untuk pengurus Wilayah Sulsel. Ditanda tangani oleh Ketua Umum H. Embay Mulya Syarif dan Sekjen Dr. H. Jihaduddin, M.Pd. Sehingga itu pula komposisi dari Ketua Dewan Penasehat diisi oleh Mayjen (Purn) TNI Amin Syam dan Ketua Majelis Amanah dijabat oleh Prof. Dr. H.M Galib, MA. Sebab ada garis historisnya.

PWMA Sulsel Dihuni SDM Unggul

Kekaguman Sekjen Mathla’ul Anwar Dr. H. Jihaduddin, M.Pd., kepada komposisi para pengurus MA Sulsel. Saat menyampaikan pidato kata sambutan: “Dari segi SDM, MA Sulsel luar biasa. Kalimantan Barat hanya empat doktor komposisi pengurusnya. Tak ada professor. Sementara MA Sulsel ada enam professor dan delapan doktornya. Ini suatu hal yang luar biasa.” Lalu sambut tepuk tangan hadirin menggema. “Karena itu, hal ini sangat memungkinkan kita bisa membuat perguruan tinggi.” Tambahnya.

Tidak hanya pengurus wilayah Mathla’ul Anwar diberi SK. Akan tetapi pengurus daerah dari beberapa kabupaten kota di Sulawesi Selatan diberi SK Ketua Plt untuk diberi mandat membentuk pengurus MA di daerahnya masing-masing.
